What We Offer
The City Tutors supports New York City nonprofits, schools, adult and senior learning centers, and other learning institutions by providing individualized tutoring and mentoring services for those institutions’ learners. The City Tutors fills gaps by sourcing institutions with our tutors and mentors to improve their learners’ academic preparedness and professional preparation. We work in tandem with our partners’ existing programs to best serve learners along the education and career preparation pipeline.
Customizable Service
We offer one-on-one sessions, study group sessions, and embedded tutoring models. We support students of all ages, with a focus on K-12, college, adult education, and ESL courses.
Training and Troubleshooting
We provide comprehensive training to all of our tutors, so you can be assured that your students are receiving high-quality academic support. We provide troubleshooting support throughout the semester and work to address problems before they arise so you don’t have to.
Visible Impact
Our partner sites and the communities they serve report participants in our tutoring program see higher grades and higher confidence in the material. Participants in our mentoring program report feeling better prepared to enter the job market.
